How to publish in The Online Geocacher Archives
How to publish your content.
Submissions of all things geocaching-related are welcomed by The Online Geocacher, within the boundaries of our Publication Policy.
Anyone may submit content for publication. There is no minimum or maximum length and regularly scheduled columns or multi-part articles are welcome.
We do reserve the right to edit all content submitted and do retain the right of refusal if we do not think that your submitted content is appropriate for our magazine. It is our goal to keep this magazine family-friendly, geocaching-related and free of rant, diatribe and flame.
Write your content in any form that you desire... an email, MS Word document, whatever, and email it to edmanley@bham.rr.com. That's basically all you need to do! You do not need to contact us to ask permission to submit cantent... consider this YOUR personal invitation!
Please format graphics and images in the lowest web-useable resolution and file size so as to save space on our server.
I or one of our volunteer staff will read it and contact you if there are any suggestions for content editing.
We will also email you a Publication Release Letter which must be replied to from your email address before we will publish any work.
We will not rewrite your work but may make suggestions, and will check with you before making any major content changes. Changes and corrections to spelling and clarity may be made by our staff as we find them neccessary.
We will do any file type conversions and formatting to fit our magazine's requirements and will publish your work as soon as is possible; all final content goes online as soon as it is completed and passed for publication by our editing staff.
The first time that you submit content please include the name that you want to be displayed to the public as the Author of the work, be it your real name, geocaching handle or both, and make sure the email address from which you submitted your work is the address where we can communicate with you.
We will create an Author account for you containing Author identification and biographical information which will be linked to all submissions published by you. You can send us your biographical information or access your Author account to write it yourself.
Please include a phone number where you can be reached, including your time zone and the time of day when you will accept calls.
That's it! Short and simple!
We look forward to your submissions.
