How to publish your Submissions
Submissions of all things geocaching-related are welcomed by The Online Geocacher, within the boundaries of our Publication Policy. Geocaching stories, news, product reviews... someone will be interested in whatever you submit!
Anyone may submit content for publication. There is no minimum or maximum length and periodic columns or multi-part articles are welcome.
We reserve the right to edit all content submitted. It is our goal to keep this e-zine family-friendly, geocaching-related and free of rant, diatribe and flame. See our Privacy and Publication Policy
Write your content in any form that you desire... an email, MS Word document, whatever, and email it to The Online Geocacher.
You do not need to write us an email saying "I would like to submit something" or "What kind of articles are you looking for?"... Just do it! Consider this your personal official invitation!
Please format graphics and images in the lowest web-usable resolution so as to save space on our server.
I or one of our volunteer staff will read read your submission and contact you if there are any suggestions for major content editing, otherwise we will make minor edits (spelling, word choice, punctuation) and publish it right away. We do not hold content for a publication date.
You MUST tell us if the submission is your original work or if you got it somewhere else! If it is someone else's work then we must have their permission to reprint it.
The first time that you submit content please include:
- The article,
- The Author Name that you want to be displayed to the public as the author of the work, be it your real name, geocaching handle or both,
- Your email address
- A paragraph or two to be used as an Author Bio (a brief biography telling the readership about you),
- A phone number where you can be reached, including your time zone and the time of day when you will accept calls.
That's it! Short and simple!
We look forward to your submissions.
